Costa Rica is a budget friendly travel destination that is great for remote work.
Costa Rica has been voted as one of the safest, friendliest, and most beautiful places to live in the world. It has have a great quality of life index. You can live affordably in Costa Rica for as little as $24 dollars a day on lodging ($24 AIRBNB is at the end of this blog) and paying about $6.00 for a meal (say you eat 2-3 meals per day) in 2020. This is about $12-$18 dollars daily which is quite affordable.
How will you afford to be in Costa Rica? Well there are jobs available for remote work such as Creative Copywriter, which offers $50.00 an hour or a Sales Consultant which offers $750- $2500 a week. These jobs are available until a qualified candidate is offered the position but Indeed always has remote work available. Now let’s move on to where will you stay while in Costa Rica?
If you want to get a feel of Costa Rica to see if you want to stay, i suggest a 90 day visa. You can stay 3 different places for 30 days at a time. You can definitely have nice amenities on a budget, so let’s look at the most expensive that I chose for this list, BackYard Hotel in Playa Hermosa which I found on Trip Advisor. It is $61 dollars a day. It is by Hermosa Beach and close to Jaco Beach. You can sunbathe and surf (click on hotel’s name or pictures to take you to its location)
Now Let’s change locations, and head to Casa Luna Hotel & SpainLa Fortuna de San Carlos. This hotel is $55 dollars a night. It is close to a volcano and waterfall. As implied by the name there is a spa, fitness room, pool, free breakfast, airport transportation, private balcony air conditioning and more. This is a great option to work remotely in Costa Rica on a 90 day visa while living inexpensively.
Essential Rain Forest Cabin was the cheapest accommodation that I saw in Costa Rica. It is an airbnb fr $24 dollars if booked a month in advance. It is in La Fortuna de San Carlos. It has a view of Arenal Volcano. and it’s 10 minute from free hot springs. It provides air conditioning, TV , WIFI, Stove, Hair Dryer, Iron, fridge, and a washing machine. There is no pool on the premise. However, it has the feel of a home.
If you pick this place it will only be $720 a month for rent to this property in Costa Rica. This definitely is an inexpensive place in Costa Rica while you have paradise right beyond your doorstep. It is definitely worth the price leaving your country and relocating to Costa Rica on a 90 visa to see if you like it.
If you live in America, look at the below video which showcasing the states allowed in Costa Rica currently.
When you are considering leaving your country, in my case America, Costa Rica should definitely be on your option for affordable living on a budget in paradise while working remotely.
